Special notice: Caution about invalid offers of employment at the Montreal Children’s Hospital

The Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Canada, takes pride in being an ethical employer. The hospital has been very concerned that individuals have been using the hospital’s name to deceive individuals seeking hospital employment in Canada into paying money with the belief that they will be offered a job at the Children’s and assisted with immigration to this country.

This notice is to advise health care workers that these individuals using names and emails from Benin, are in no way connected to the Montreal Children’s Hospital. They have absolutely no authority to make job offers on behalf of the Children’s. These supposed "contracts" are completely inauthentic and have not come from the Montreal Children’s Hospital. The Children’s asks that nurses and other health care workers consider these documents as completely invalid.

The Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre does not require any payment from potential employees to apply for employment at the Children’s. The Hospital hires on the basis of qualifications. It has not and would not offer a contract in exchange for payment. Employment opportunities that do exist are listed at the following link.

Please email mchpr@muhc.mcgill.ca, if you have any questions or any information on the matter of fraudulent job offers. Thank you.
