Research

Research interests

My clinical research in child neurology focuses on neuromuscular disorders and cerebral palsy. Understanding factors that impact the natural history of these diseases is important in the prevention, prognostication and management of affected children.Consequently, I co-direct the Canadian Cerebral Palsy Registry, collaborating across Canada in epidemiogical research in this field. I am also involved in clinical trials for children with neuromuscular disorders, specifically children with spinal muscular atrophy.

Research foci
  • Neurodevelopmental disorders;
  • Epidemiology of cerebral palsy;
  • Clinical trials in neuromuscular disorders
Keywords

Cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, epidemiology, biostatistics, neuromuscular
