The Montreal Children's Hospital Auxiliary

Auxiliary

The MCH Auxiliary began more than 67 years ago, when a group of young women decided to raise funds for a refrigerator that was needed in one of the units in the hospital.

Today, an equally dedicated group of men and women volunteer their time and talents to raising over $250,000 annually for the hospital. These funds are used for services and equipment that improve the care of young patients.

The Auxiliary's initiatives include a clothing sale, a bazaar, a Christmas card campaign, Christmas gift wrapping and many other smaller fundraisers during the year.

The MCH Auxiliary group also manages the hospital's Café and Boutique:
  • Café
    Location: 2B waiting area
    Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Boutique
    Location: 2B waiting area
    Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All profits from fundraising activities of the MCH Auxiliary go to the hospital.

The Montreal Children's Hospital Auxiliary is managed by an elected Board of Directors. It is a group of dedicated volunteers who continually welcome new members:
  • Members are encouraged to participate in any or all of the fundraising projects.
  • There is a small tax-deductible fee for joining.
