Visiting

Regular hospital visiting hours are:
Monday to Sunday from 2:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Parents

The Children's encourages parents to take an active part in the care of their child at all times unless the doctor or nurse feels there is a need to restrict visits.
  • If you enter the hospital after 8:00 p.m., when regular visiting hours are over, Security may ask you for identification.
Please let your child's nurse know if you plan to stay overnight with your child.
  • Bed chairs and a limited number of beds are available for overnight stays.
  • Please do not move the bed from where it has been set up as this may inadvertently prevent hospital staff from having access to your child and/or other patients.

Other visitors

Visiting hours are between 2:30 and 8:00 p.m. daily.
  • There should be no more than two people visiting a patient at any one time.
  • Children under 14 years of age may visit a hospitalized patient, provided the patient is not in an intensive care unit, but must be accompanied by their parents.
  • For additional information, please see the Head Nurse of the ward you are visiting.

Do you have a cold or the sniffles?

Parents, family members and friends should not visit the hospital if they are suffering from a cold, flu, any other viruses, or if they have been in contact with any infectious diseases such as chicken pox or measles.
  • If you are not feeling well, please postpone your visit until you feel better.
