The Complex Care Service at the Montreal Children’s Hospital helps many patients and families who are dealing with a variety of complex medical conditions that require short-, medium- or long term care coordination.

The Pediatric Urology team sees children with a variety of congenital (inherited) or acquired (developed after birth) genitourinary conditions.

Our department provides diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of acute or chronic poisonings whether accidental, suicidal, or environmental.

The Montreal Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Test Center provides walk-in diagnostic testing for children from 0 to 17 years of age inclusively. No appointments are needed except for sweat tests

Patients are at the heart of our mission. The Pediatric General Surgery team, made up of surgeons, nurses and other staff members, understands that surgery can be stressful for a child and the family. We respect every patient’s needs and work together to ensure the child’s well-being.

The Montreal Children’s Hospital Spina Bifida Service brings together specialists from several services at the hospital to provide care to children who have shunts (a tube which drains fluid from around the brain), as well as children with varying degrees of motor and sensory deficits, and children with neurogenic bladder and bowel (a condition which affects the spinal cord nerves that control bladder and bowel function).

The Montreal Children's Hospital Speech Pathology Department offers a wide array of services for children and adolescents who have speech and language problems.

Provides physical and psycho-social assessment of children and adolescents where there is a question of sexual abuse.

We treat patients ranging from extremely premature infants to 18-year-olds. We offer surfactant therapy, cpap/bipap treatment, inhaled nitric oxide/heliox therapy, high-frequency jet and oscillatory ventilation, airway management, oxygen therapy and high-flow therapy.

The Dermatology Department at the Montreal Children’s Hospital evaluates and manages a wide range of dermatological conditions. We encourage referring physicians to consult our referral form and fax the request to 514-412-4288 (Appointment Center).
