The mission of The Montreal Children’s Hospital (MCH) Pediatric Consultation Centre (PCC) is to provide a consultative service to family physicians and MCH pediatricians who want opinions regarding a wide range of pediatric problems. These problems may include chronic headaches, developmental issues, language delays, recurrent abdominal pain, failure to thrive, gastroesophageal reflux, obesity, school and behavioural problems or any pediatric problem for which a physician wants a second opinion or more intensive investigation.

The Preoperative Assessment Clinic coordinates and facilitates the care of children and their families as they go through the surgical experience.

Day surgery or ambulatory surgery means that your child will be safely discharged from the hospital and allowed to go home on the same day that they have a surgical or interventional procedure under general anesthesia. For some patients, day surgery is the point of entry to the hospital, even if the child is admitted to the hospital only after the procedure.

Provides EA/TEF patients and their families a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary expertise to optimize the care and prevent the morbidity associated with complications that may develop during follow-up.

The Montreal Children’s Hospital’s Craniofacial and Cleft Surgery team is dedicated to the treatment of children with craniofacial disorders (affecting bones of the skull and face).

The Surgical Day Centre (SDC) team prepares patients and families for the surgical experience, and provides post-surgical care and assessment. The service includes physical assessment of your child, required consultation, appropriate laboratory work-up and psychological preparation for what to expect on the day of surgery.

The Montreal Children's Hospital has created the first and only PCD clinic in Quebec. This multi-disciplinary clinic consists of PCD physician experts, physiotherapists, and otolaryngologists, who manage this complex disease together.  The MCH PCD clinic offers state of the art PCD clinical testing through specialized testing and equipment, including nasal nitric oxide measurement, electron microscopy assessment, and extended genetic testing.
