The Surgical Day Centre (SDC) team prepares patients and families for the surgical experience, and provides post-surgical care and assessment. The service includes physical assessment of your child, required consultation, appropriate laboratory work-up and psychological preparation for what to expect on the day of surgery.
The Intermediate Complexity Coordination and Navigation (I-CCAN) Service is a new service offered at the Montreal Children’s Hospital(MCH) for children with intermediate complex care needs who are followed by many different service providers. The goal of the I-CCAN service is to assist these children, youth and families in navigating the healthcare system and facilitating access to coordinated hospital-based services.
The Montreal Children's Hospital (MCH) of the McGill University Health Centre is a provincially designated Pediatric and Adolescent Trauma Centre, a Neurotrauma Centre of Expertise, and an important player in the provincial trauma network. The hospital is dedicated to its trauma mandate with a well-developed Emergency Trauma Response system, a commitment to making the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) accessible, and a variety of innovative inpatient and outpatient programs.
