The Montreal Children’s Hospital’s H.B. Williams Craniofacial and Cleft Surgery Unit is dedicated to the treatment of children with craniofacial disorders (affecting bones of the skull and face).
Our team approach allows the Montreal Children’s Hospital to better manage each patient’s treatment options with the ultimate goal of reducing the number of surgical interventions. Our team encompasses the expertise of over 19 specialties to provide a true multidisciplinary approach to our patients, and state-of-the-art surgical care. Our dedicated coordinator efficiently organizes all tests and consultations for our patients (both cleft and craniofacial).
Our cleft and craniofacial team offers cutting-edge orthodontic care including nasoalveolar molding (NAM) to optimize the aesthetic outcome of the surgical repairs.
As one of the only centres in Canada providing expertise in facial distraction (including neonatal mandibular distraction for Robin sequence), the team prides itself in providing comprehensive care to patients across the province and Canada.
Our team meets regularly to plan the complex care of our patients and aims to provide the safest and most up-to-date surgical treatment for children. All members are specialized in pediatric care and have an interest in craniofacial anomalies.
