15th Edition of Pedal for Kids

1,050 participants and more than $ 675 000 for The Montreal Children’s Hospital

Montreal, Friday, June 16, 2006 – The 15^th edition of Pedal for Kids, held from Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 16, raised over $675,000 for The Montreal Children’s Hospital, and organizers are still counting! Since its inception in 1992, Pedal for Kids raised over $5.8 million for The Children’s.

“Congratulations to the 1,050 participants who pedaled and raised funds and thank you to the thousands of people who made a contribution to support excellence in pediatric care at The Children’s,” said an enthused event chairman, Paul Normandin. 

Pedal for Kids focuses on meeting the most urgent current and future needs of the actual Children's Hospital, while part of the funds collected will be invested in the building of the new Children's Hospital in NDG.  This edition of Pedal for Kids will also enable the purchase of an ‘Echo Reporting and Archiving System’ for the Cardiology department as well as for special programs aiming to improve the quality of life for The Children’s young patients.
