Health Canada warns parents against using two natural products used to treat abdominal pain in children.
Baby Bliss Gripe Water with apple taste (code 26952V) contains cryptosporidium, a parasite that causes diarrhea, vomiting, cramps and can, in some cases, be deadly.
The other product is called Zhong Ti Xiao Er Jian Pi San (code JPS0704). This powder, used for treating digestive problems in children, has been contamined by bacteria.
Sale of these products is not permitted in Canada, but parents may have bought the products on the Internet.
