Canada's first in utero heart surgery

For the first time in Canada, a team of doctors from Toronto's Mount Sinaï Hospital and Hospital for Sick Kids performed heart surgery on a baby in utero.
Thanks to this intervention, the baby was able to stay in her mother's womb for an additional four weeks. Océane was born on April 15 and is doing fine.
