Follow our team as they climb Kilimanjaro!

On January 17th, The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation waved goodbye to the participants of the most extreme fundraiser the Foundation has ever held. A team of 12 exceptional individuals left Montreal for Tanzania, where they are setting off on a grueling climb to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

They are quite an inspiring group. Many are first-time climbers, and have been training for months to prepare themselves as best they can for a ten-day trek that two out of every ten people are not physically able to complete. They have embarked on this adventure as a way of raising funds for our Hospital, and have already raised over $250,000 – more than quadruple their original goal of raising $55,000. The details of their journey are posted on their blog, at www.kilipourlechildren.com. This adventure is part of the One million kilometres, one million dollars campaign to promote active living.
