Two Edmonton pediatricians are urging authorities to bar children from trampolines after unearthing several cases in their hospital alone where trampoline mishaps led to severe and even fatal spinal injuries.
The series of cases and the authors' provocative conclusions revive a heated debate over whether the devices are backyard menaces, or valuable recreational tools that rarely prove dangerous.
