Television and Entertainment package

Television/movie/Internet service is available in all patient rooms, and is free of charge.

TD Child Life and School Services

Child Life specialists at the MCH promote the psychological well-being and development of patients through play, education and self-expression.

The TD Child Life and School Services department and the Child Life Activity Centre are located on level S1 of Block B. The Activity Centre is the main playroom for inpatients, and it opens to the Rio Tinto Alcan Children's Outdoor Play Area and Garden. Child Life staff also hold activities in playrooms located on each of the hospital’s inpatient units.

There are also elementary and high school teachers on staff to help hospitalized children keep up with their schoolwork. Child Life specialists also organize the Pet Therapy Program and Dr. Clown. If you would like a Child Life specialist to visit your child, speak to your nurse.
