In the United States an average of 120 visits a day to emergency rooms are due to falls in the bath. Lacerations to the face are the most common injuries.
Here are some recommendations to take while bathing your child:
Never leave a child alone in the bath, even if it's for one minute.
Install a slip-resistant mat in and outside of the bath.
Make sure there are no sharp edges and objects around the bath.
