A new study, to be published in the European Journal of Cancer found that the predicted five-year survival of 82% for children and adolescents recently diagnosed with cancer was 11% higher than was reported in the only previous Canadian national study.
The study used data from the Canadian Cancer Registry from 1999 to 2003. The previous study analyzed cases from 1985 to 1988.
