Model Patient Room Comes to Livingston Hall

On October 30, we unveiled to the media a full-scale model patient room, which was designed by our architects and planners, with input from nursing, clinicians and infection control. We chose this format in order to make a public splash. We are pleased to advise you that the patient room will now be set up at the MGH in Livingston Hall for the month of December. Beginning in January, it will go on tour in public places.

Our goal is to get input from all of you, as well as from our community. By pushing the design envelope today, we’ll avoid costly changes during construction and create an effective healing environment. We encourage you to view the room, challenge its layout and design components, and send your comments to the Planning Office at [email protected] [1] so that our patient rooms of the future are the best that they can be.
