Chris Jarvis to Deliver Inspirational Speech to Children with the Disease
Montreal – March 23,2007: Olympic rower Chris Jarvis will be speaking at The Montreal Children’s Hospital of the MUHC on Tuesday March 27 at 8:30 a.m. Chris was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes when he was 14. He will address a crowd of youngsters with diabetes and explain how he never let the disease interfere with his goals and ambitions. Chris, who has been on the Canadian National Rowing Team for four years, says he has always played an active role in the management of his diabetes and by being vigilant he was never let him stop him.
Chris is one of the founders of www.insulindependence.org[1], an organization that strives to educate, mentor and advocate for people with diabetes.
