The study conducted by the Université de Montréal and Hôpital Ste-Justine found that teenagers from poor neighborhoods tend to watch more TV and spend more time in front of their computers.

Over a five year period, researchers collected data about the viewing habits of high school students. On average, teens spend 20 hours in front of a TV or computer screen. Children of less educated parents where inclined to spend more than 20 hours in front of the TV or on the computer. 7% of the questioned teens spent more than 50 hours using one or the other medium.
