Chair, Department of Neurology, Neurologist-in-Chief
Boston Children’s Hospital
Educational Objectives:
1. A primary objective of this presentation is to show how genome wide analysis has enabled the creation of a new molecular classification of childhood brain tumors.
2. A second objective is to show how molecular classification predicts outcome with greater accuracy, allowing more precise risk stratification of brain tumors for clinical trials and conventional therapies.
3. A third objective is to show how molecular classification reveals molecular targets for the development of small molecule therapies.
