New Appointment in Pediatric Medical Emergency and in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine

We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Harley Eisman has accepted the position as Medical Director of the Pediatric Medical Emergency at the Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Center (MUHC) and as Director of the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine in the McGill Department of Pediatrics, effective February 1, 2007.

Dr. Eisman obtained his medical degree in1992 at McGill University. He completed his general pediatric residency at The Montreal Children’s Hospital, and then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. In 1997, Dr. Eisman joined the full time staff of the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and in 1999 became an Associate Medical Director of Pediatric Medical Emergency. Dr. Eisman had been involved in various computerization and informatics projects at the MCH. He co-founded The Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Foundation (www.hboc.ca) in 2003.

We would also like to sincerely thank Dr. Dominic Chalut for his outstanding contributions as Medical Director of Pediatric Medical Emergency and Director of the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine since 2002. We look forward to his ongoing contributions to this critical area of the Hospital.
