Training tomorrow’s researchers

During the 2013-14 academic year, 90 graduate students, 22 post-doctoral fellows and 45 residents and clinical fellows were involved in child health research projects at the Montreal Children's Hospital.

Supervised by staff affiliated with the hospital, McGill University and the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, the majority of trainees are enrolled in various departments and schools at McGill, including:

  • anthropology
  • biomedical engineering
  • dietetics and nutrition
  • dentistry
  • epidemiology, biostatistics and occupational health
  • experimental medicine
  • experimental surgery
  • human genetics
  • neuroscience (integrated program)
  • nursing
  • pharmacology and therapeutics
  • psychiatry
  • psychology
  • social work

 

Prospective trainees must be enrolled in McGill's Faculty of Graduate Studies prior to acceptance for research training at the hospital.
