Departments

The Physiotherapy department at the Montreal Children’s Hospital offers assessment and short-term intervention to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years of age.

The Division of Pediatric Neurology of the Montreal Children’s Hospital provides care for children with complex neurological conditions.

Referrals received in Pediatric Neurology must first undergo a triage process. If you have any questions about the status of your referral please note that this information can only be provided once triage has been completed. If accepted, the referral is entered on our waiting list; please note that you are not contacted until we have an opening in our clinic.

The Montreal Children's Hospital Speech Pathology Department offers a wide array of services for children and adolescents who have speech and language difficulties.

Provides diagnostic services in the areas of bacteriology, serology, parasitology, mycology, mycobacteriology, and virology (including rapid viral diagnosis, complex viral isolation, and molecular diagnostic techniques).
We provide inpatient consultative services for an entire range of infectious disease issues including respiratory infections, bone/joint and soft tissue infections, congenital infections, central nervous system infections, and infections associated with immunodeficiencies.

Brain, Development and Behaviour (BDB) is an integrated clinical network providing assessment and consultative services for children with complex developmental disabilities. In order to correctly and expeditiously orient these children to the appropriate services within the hospital, all referrals from community physicians for developmental concerns are received and systematically triaged by our BDB Centralized Intake team.
